I have a question about being in a group and where my totals go?

When I signed up to do indexing, I was automatically put into my ward and Stake Indexing Group and as far as I know my indexing totals are reported monthly to my ward. I recently signed up to join a Come Follow Me Indexing Group and I was told my totals would automatically be reported to the Come Follow Me Group. Which is right? Thank you.
