I would like to inform 'whom ever?' that Esther Swayzee, aka Esther Elizabeth Bohac 1906 -- 1995 is NOT the mother of Patti Lou Buchan. Patti's mother was Oklah Oma Bishop. If you would like me to send you Patti's birth certificate, I would be happy to do so. You do have Patti's father listed correctly. Thank you for correcting this. BY

Hi, have you private messaged this person to discuss the issue? I know sometimes people to do not reply. You could also leave the information in Life Sketch

Hi, Anne, this is a very frustrating problem in a program that encourages collaboration. The previous answerer certainly did not mean to offend you. If you will open the latest changes section that is on the right side of your mother's individual person page, you will see the changes that have been made to her record. The indentification for the person who contributed that information is shown as a blue link. If you click on the link, you can send a blind message to that person and give them the correct information.
In the meantime, you can change the information yourself and provide good notes that will discourage others from making more incorrrect changes.

This woman is not alive, so how could I message her????? Esther Swayzee, aka Esther Elizabeth Bohac 1906 -- 1995 was indeed married to my 'biological' grandfather, but she did NOT give birth to my mother Patti Lou Buchan, nor did she ever meet Clive Elliot Buchan or Esther Elizabeth Swayzee (Bohac). Please rectify this matter. Thank you, BY

I see that Pattie Lou Buchan's record at https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LRF8-33Z was last edited on June 5, 2017 by allyse and that is when the incorrect set of parents was added. In fact, she currently has three sets of parents so her record definitely needs some work.
Three points:
- allyse is probably not active on this community board so will never see your message here. She may not even be working in Family Tree at this point and may never see a message from you if you do message her.
- Family Tree is an open-edit, universal tree that anyone with an account can make changes in.
- You have the right, resources, and responsibility to fix Battie Lou's record.
So just go ahead and correct it. If you don't know how, locate your local Family History Library, see if it is currently open, and, if so, go there and be taught how to correct relationships, add appropriate reasons statements, and document information with sources. Pattie Lou doesn't have a single source on her record. Add as many as you can find to support her correct information.
