    The field Help for birth place indicates the following:

    Type the locality.

    You should expand abbreviations or correct misspellings when you can tell what the abbreviation stands for or what the correction should be to the spelling.

    Hi Zach. You shouldn't guess a country. On this batch, I don't think I would index USA (or United States of America) for 1, 2, or 8-10. It just doesn't looked like US (United States) to me.

    If you can tell what country is by the abbreviation, then you can expand abbreviations or correct misspellings.
