Is there any way to turn off the auto find name feature for surnames?

I am working on City Directories, and on the larger directories the computer really bogs down since it is going through all the names each time I type in a surname. Is there any way to turn that off so the computer doesn't slow down so much?

Inside your batch go to Batches at the top right hand corner of your screen. Go down to Settings in the drop down menu. Click on Settings then on AutoComplete. Chose 'Turn OFF for all fields'' to turn it off.

You do have to be in a batch to change this setting. Enjoy! That would drive me crazy!!

Are you indexing, if you are, you can turn auto complete in the settings
