Montebelluna Stato Civile Records
Hi everybody, I was searching info about my Italian Family and I found in the catalogue the digitalized Montebelluna Stato Civile Records, but there are gaps of years, the years I need to view
For example I cant see the 1883 births records, when my great grand father was born, or 1880.1885.1887 birth records when his brother and sisters were born.
Is it a mistake in the catalogue? or maybe the information was lost in Italy?
Any idea? Thansk, Victor.

@vicmp3 Unfortunately, we can only make a reasonable guess as to why certain dates are not availble in a record collection. Looking at the wiki articles about record collections for Treviso, I keep seeing the statement "Availability of the records is largely dependent on time and locality." That's not a crystal-clear statement, but it seems reasonable to assume that some records for some years were missing when film crews were there to capture the images.
The Research Wiki article, Italy Genealogy, might give you some ideas for other ways to find the info you need. In addition to information about how to do Italian research, it has quite a few links to online records. The clickable map can also take you to a wiki article about the specific region within Italy that you are interested in. You also might want to join the Italy Genealogy Research group here in Community, where you can connect with experienced researchers to get help.
