I'm not sure where this belongs, but "Edinburg, Hidalgo, Texas, United States" is not accepted as a standardized city. Edinburg is a large, established city in South Texas.

    @Melissa Arjona

    Melissa

That is strange; as, that 'Place Name' is a "Standard" within the "Place Name" Database in 'FamilySearch' ...

    Place Names _ Database _ _ Edinburg _ Hidalgo _ Texas _ United States _ 0.jpg

And, I also just got that 'Place Name' to "Standardise" ...

    Here is the link/URL:

    Edinburg, Hidalgo, Texas, United States

    1911 to Today

    https://www.familysearch.org/research/places/?focusedId=11575674

Where, prior to that, it appears to have been ...

    Chapin, Hidalgo, Texas, United States

    Unknown to 1911

    https://www.familysearch.org/research/places/?focusedId=5177622

    Just in case ...

IF, there is, in fact, a problem/issue, with the "Standard" of "Edinburg, Hidalgo, Texas, United States"; THEN, you can have that "Reviewed" ( eg. "improved" ) ...

Just select that "Improve This Place" ...

    Place Names _ Database _ _ Edinburg _ Hidalgo _ Texas _ United States _ 1.jpg

    As an aside ...

You can also go to the ...

    "Groups" Section ...

[ ie. the one above "Ideas" ... ]

And, 'Join" the 'Group' being that of "FamilySearch Places" ...

    Here is the direct link/URL:

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/68-familysearch-places

    https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/68-familysearch-places

That is a 'Group' for "Research/Places" Database in 'FamilySearch', which appears to be monitored by "Standards Team" of the "Authorities Team" of 'FamilySearch'.

And, post in that 'Group' advising, of a problem/issue.

    I hope this helps.

    Brett
