Consistency Checker

I would like to see an Consistency Checker added to one of the tabs in FamilySearch to look through my family lines for data errors. The purpose is to correct the 100's of errors in our family lines both ascending and descending lines. I had been using MyHeritage to check for the following types of errors. But since RootsTech I have not been able to load any for my family lines into MyHeritage. FYI- I found I had some type of data error in 1 out of every 10 records, when I imported my FamilySearch file into MyHeritage. Half of the errors where in dates on photos and other documents we imported.

Errors that I would like to be able to find are:

Birth data of a person is after their death date.

Birth date of a person occurred before their parent's birth date

Birth date of a person is after their parent's death date

Deceased person died when they were more than 110 years old (number of years could be a user defined variable)

Living person is more than 110 years old(number of years could be a user defined variable)

Person had a child when they were less then 15 years old (number of years could be a user defined variable)

Person had a child when they were more than 60 years old (number of years could be a user defined variable)

Fact of a person occurred before their birth date, like A person is tagged in a photo that is dated before the person was born. (A memory, photo, fact)

Fact of a person occurred after their death date, A person is tagged in a photo that is dated after they died. This could be fine if the photo is showing the person's gravestone. (A memory, photo, fact)

Two siblings who are not twins were born too close in time to be biological siblings.

A couple have an age difference of more than 30 years (number of years could be a user defined variable)

A person married when they were less than xx years old.

A person had a spouse and has died at less than xx years old.

A woman's married name seems to have been mistakenly entered as her maiden name.

The prefix of a person's name seems to have mistakenly entered as part of their first name

The prefix of a person's name seems to have mistakenly entered as part of their last name.

The suffix of a person's name seems to have mistakenly entered as part of their first name.

The suffix of a person's name seems to have mistakenly entered as part of their last name

Thanks.... Jim Williams

Further to what 'Jesse' has proffered ...

We (ie. Us, the Users/Patrons) are the "Consistency Checker", that is our role, that is what we do ...

We are supposed to be doing the addressing/fixing of all that ...

We should NOT leave it up to the "System", to identify such ...

Any "System", can ONLY do so much ...

The old proverb is so apt here ...

'You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink' ...

And, as a Programmer once said to me ...

'You CANNOT make a System FOOLPROOF; as, Fools are so ingenious' ...

ALL that Work is what Genealogy/Family History is ALL about ...

There are many different priorities that need addressing/fixing in "Family Tree" (and, the OTHER Parts) of 'FamilySearch' ...

There is limited resources/funds available to 'FamilySearch' ...

Addressing/Fixing such as you outlined is ALSO, what one does, in one's own "Private" Database; and, then, one correlates that back to "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', as, such is fixed/addressed.

What you reference is a PERFECT World/State ...

I would humbly suggest NOT to expect, that of what you discussed, which is not ALREADY addressed; as, being implemented - in time, some maybe.

    Just my thoughts.

    Brett
