Please

1- Add a category of "Unfinished Attachments" to Options, this way we can see the records that have Sources with "Unfinished Attachments" as seen on the Attached Screenshot

2- Make "Record Hints", "Unfinished Attachments", "Research Suggestions" and "Data Problems" Hyperlink to select records that meet the criteria for example if you:

  • Click on the "Record Hints" a list of Records in the tree would show up, then clicking on the "Review and Attach Button, would tae me to that record to work on
  • Click on the "Unfinished Attachments" a list of Records in the tree would show up, then clicking on the "Review and Attach Button, would tae me to that record to work on
  • Click on the "Research Suggestions" a list of Records in the tree would show up, then clicking on the "Review and Attach Button, would tae me to that record to work on
  • Click on the "Data Problems" a list of Records in the tree would show up, then clicking on the "Review and Attach Button, would tae me to that record to work on

I have attached a screenshot of what I mean

Thanks

Add Unfinished Attachments to Options and make Hyperlink.jpg

Biggest problem: in that second proposed screenshot, how on Earth am I supposed to know which button to use ("review and attach" or "not a match")? Should I just be guessing? Or taking FS's word and saying yes to everything?

In my experience, 99.999% of the time, the attachment is unfinished because one of the indexed people cannot be identified: it's a boarder or servant in a census record, or the doctor or midwife on a birth record, or something similar. Presenting those to me in a list, with zero context, is never going to result in anything useful.
