I have found this can happen at random times - possibly due to a temporary glitch in the program, or maybe due to an update being performed at that moment. You can often encounter problems on Mondays, when FamilySearch engineers perform their main, weekly update. If the problem persists, it is worth reporting it - both here and through Support. However, if you leave things alone (say for an hour or so) the problem usually resolves itself.
