Trying to find Clarence Holt
Appears in 1901 census married to Annie Maria Jones with daughter Mary Jane.
Possibly born 1865
Possibly a boarder based on census record 1891 with possible first wife Caroline Holt on same census page.
Not able to trace any further back. Was known to have been a boxer possibly with Jewish ancestry.
Discovered newspaper articles Via British Newspaper Archive refering to Clarence Holt being an alias or cognomen for T or Ike Levy or Levey.
Any help would be appreciated

I also found him in the 1911 census - see https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWP9-KCP. He is shown as a bootmaker, so it looks like it was him in the 1891 census, too. I could find no match for Clarence Holt in the 1881 census.
The only birth I could find as a close match was for his alias / real name: Thomas LEAVY born 1867 Bethnal Green, mother SPOONER. You'll find him in the 1871 census at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VRJV-3VK. This is a doubtful match, however, as his birthplace of Cheapside (1911 census) would have fallen in the London City, not Bethnal Green, registration district. Also, in 1881 at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QK6T-5DHB
Assuming he was Jewish, he could well have been known by other aliases, so could be quite difficult to identify.

So reading this article again I'm wondering if Clarence's wife is actually also doing exhibition boxing!
