Can the Batch Expiration date be 8 days instead of 7?

I index once a week on Sundays. I logged on and missed my batch by just an hour!! I found myself feeling very frustrated. I know that the work was not lost, but there were lots of lines on that particular batch, and now I will get zero credit for the work that I did on the batch.

You should put this in the Ideas portion of Indexing. See Ideas in the left column - click it and you can then click into the Indexing folder. It really does make a lot of sense to add the extra day since a lot of people seem to only index on Sundays. I think it is a great idea!

Jaelene, I understand your frustration!! Maybe this will help, however. When you do a partial indexing of a project, when it is sent to another person, the info you did is still there https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/why-do-indexing-batches-expire

So, bottom line is, you HAVE been helpful!! I'm not trying to be flippant about it - I DO understand your frustration because I feel the same way when that type of thing happens. But I also understand that Family Search is trying to get all of the records done expediently and 7 days just happens to be the cutoff they have set.

Blessings to you for participating in this great work!!!

    Pam
