Hi, I have unlocked a brick wall in my family research and was fortunate to find records in the Greek Orthodox Metrical records for Tovtry, Ukraine (then Romania). I have put together a pdf of the birth and death record. I have made some attempts to translate records using several aids including the ones referred to me but I need some help. The record headings are in German and Romanian and I think the script is Romanian in Cyrillic. I would sure appreciate some help with the translations.

Hi, I have not received any responses to my request, is that maybe common during the summer months?

I was attempting to edit a typo and my whole post disappeared.

@Cheryl KitzanI am not connected with Family Search but the usual advice will be to join a Group, see Tab left hand side of the webpage

    Perhaps https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/13-austro-hungarian-empire

@N Tychonievich, 2 May date of original post, over 4 months, seems a long time without any FS response

Mark McLemore, why are there not instructions on the Community Home page that researchers should join a Group for translation help, as this seems to be the standard moderator response now. Cheryl perhaps would have been able to read that instruction over 4 months ago.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ I tried posting this way back on 12 September 2021; but, it would just not work ... it was still in my "Drafts" ...]

    [ As such, I am try AGAIN ... ]

    [ Belatedly ... ]

IF, you have not already; THEN, ...

    As an aside ...

Can I humbly suggest, that you consider, REPOSTING, this post of yours, requesting a translation, in one or more of the 'Groups', in the "Groups" Section; where, the members of those 'Groups', may be able to help/assist you; and, of course, are only too will to do so. Plus, there are often "Resources", in the 'Groups', some; being, 'Links' to 'On-Line' Websites.

Please be advised, that you will need to "Join" a 'Group' to post in a 'Group'.

For starters, those 'Groups' that I would humbly recommend; being:

You can use the likes of 'Google' "Translate".

You 'Google' "Translate", to translate, my 'Comments', in posts, other than English.

If you didn't get help with the translation, try some of the Facebook research groups. Romanian Genealogy Society Research Group on Facebook has a few volunteers who can read some of the Cyrillic scripts.
