when I am doing a review sometimes a entry (the whole entry names, dates, places) has been missed. Is there a way to add a new entry. I know an entry can be added at the end is it possible to add an entry in the middle?

There is a tool on the horizontal tool bar that will allow you to add an entry before the first entry, after the current entry and after the last entry. There are also two keyboard shortcuts.

Click the 7th icon from the left (just to the left of the Trashcan icon) to open the tool, you can then choose from the three options listed in the previous paragraph (the default option is: after the last entry). The Ctrl-Insert (Cmd-Shift-+ on a Mac) Keyboard shortcut opens the same tool with the after the current entry option selected. The Ctrl-Shift-Insert (Cmd-Option-+ on a Mac) keyboard shortcut opens the same tool with the after the last entry option selected.

There is a document that can be accessed via the Group Resources area on the Indexing Chat Home page that shows what each of the tools on the horizontal toolbar does along with the associated keyboard shortcuts for those that have them. Here is a link to it: Toolbar Icon Meanings & Shortcuts

I invite you to join the Indexing Chat group. Questions asked in that group are frequently answered more quickly than they are in this category.
