Lookup please of a Microfilm
Hello
Is there anyone who could lookup an entry for me please?
these are the details I have and I am interested in having copies of those pages that refere to Dugglebys.
Steer, Graham P. Genealogy of the ancient family of Witty of the former East Riding of Yorkshire, England: [from] the parish registers, old wills, civil records, ancient deeds, land documents, and other miscellaneous records. (Salt Lake City, Utah: Genealogical Society of Utah, 1989).

I think you have misunderstood Ellen's request. The film has been digitised, but is not available online. She is asking anyone who has access to the microfilm (presumably at the Family History Library at SLC) to do a look-up for her.

Hi, Ellen,
When images are only available for viewing in Family History Centers it is usually because of agreements that have been made with the owners of those records and anyone who provides copies of any images from the document might be violating copyright laws.
That being said, since the information that you want is very specific and may not involve the actual copying of images, your best bet for assistance might be to use the free, 20-minute consultation with someone from the Family History Library. Here is a link to an article that tells how to schedule a consultation.

@Ellen Reid here is the link off of FamilySearch that you might be able to find the information you are looking for. https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog. Please reach out if this isn't helpful to you.

You might be fortunate enough to get someone to do a limited search of this item on the microfilm, but it will probably be very difficult to meet your full request.
Unless this is a short piece of film, it might take quite a while to find all references to the Dugglebys. Even then, I doubt very much if you will be able to get these pages copied. Firstly, they possibly contain "restricted" material (hence, their not being placed online) and, secondly, how would they get the copies to you? FamilySearch itself stopped providing copies from microfilms for its patrons some years ago.

thank you both for you replies.
This is a write-up graham Steer did of the witty family history and he donated this to FH. he was careful to index and paginate his work.
As there is only one Duggleby mentioned in the whole document and in the index I am sure this would not be an onerous task.
I cannot get out of the house these days which is why I asked if someone could look this up for me.
I really just want to know the source of the information graham wrote about this one Robert Duggleby who married Jennet Wittye about 1526.
if I cannot get copies emailed to me then if I could just know what it says would be an enormous help.
I suspect it may be from a will but without knowing who's and when it was from I cannot take this further.
kind regards
Ellen
