Tagging Groups
Would it be possible to tag a group in a question like you could in the old platform?
Sometimes I have research questions where multiple groups might be able to help (i.e. immigration needing groups from the home country and arrival country).
Thanks!

Great, requested / suggested enhancement.
'Yes', that would be an IMPROVEMENT to what we have NOW ...
And, FYI, this has been a previously requested / suggested enhancement ...
Whereas, whether or not, that can be done, in this (New) "Vanilla" Platform of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, is the real question.
Initially, MANY things that we could do in the Old Platform of the the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, we could NOT do in in this (New) "Vanilla" Platform; but, little by little, things are improving.
Lets, hope that this is ONE of the "Things" ( IMPROVEMENTS ) that CAN be done, addressed/fixed.
The other factor, that will complicate the matter, is that this version of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum is QUITE "Different" to the previous version.
Previously, we just had, an area/section for "Questions"/"Posts"/"Polls"; and, "Groups" which was the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, and the various posts could be, either, "Tagged" in one or more 'Groups'; and/or, MOVED seamlessly around; PLUS, later, there was a totally 'separate' and 'distinct', 'standalone' ,[ all-be-it, TEMPORARY] area/section for "Ideas" (ie. 'Feedback'); where, the former and latter DID NOT mix/mingle (ie. You could NOT 'swap'/'move' posts between them).
Now, we have THREE (x3) ,'Separate' and 'Distinct'; and, apparently ALL 'standalone', sections/parts to the [New] "Community.FamilySearch" Forum:
▬ Questions and Answers ... ( previously, the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum )
▬ Groups ... ( previously, the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum )
▬ Ideas ... ( previously, just 'Feedback', which was 'standalone')
Whether or not, 'forethought', was given to, either, "Tagging"; and/or, 'Moving', posts BETWEEN those THREE (x3) DIFFERENT areas/sections, is another question.
Lets, hope that, either, "Tagging"; and/or, 'Moving', posts BETWEEN those THREE (x3) DIFFERENT areas/sections is possible (or, can be "Developed") in this new platform of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
Just my thoughts.

Excellent analysis of the current situation, Brett.
I found the problem so well illustrated only a couple of days ago. Being unable to tag her post, the originator added it (quite reasonably) to two sections, for which its placement was equally relevant. Unfortunately, this made the whole discussion (responses) really difficult to follow. Some forum participants chose to place their comments in one section and others in the other section in which the "topic" (can we still use that word?) appears!
But, as Brett suggests, even if it might be relatively easy to address the problem if the posts were posted in the same main grouping (i.e. Q and A, Ideas or Groups) it would probably not be straightforward to tag an item in order for it to appear in (say) the "Family Tree" sub-section(s) of both the Q and A and Ideas sections!
I really hope we won't have to wait too long for the enhancements that are desperately needed to make "Community" a platform that is genuinely user-friendly. The current format is nowhere near a match for the defunct "GetSat" forum, which - for all its faults - did not leave my head spinning after each visit!

As having been a reasonably extensive participant in "Community.FamilySearch" Forum ...
[ie. I'm referring to 'Forum' & Groups', NOT, appended "IDEAS" 'Feedback' (ie. OLD "GetSatisfaction" Forum)]
I can asset that the previous version (ie. OLD Platform) for the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum was Much MORE "User-Friendly" that this current version (ie. Platform).
Whereas, this current version (ie. NEW Platform) may be great for 'Management' regarding, "Administration"; and, "Statistics"; but, this current version (ie. NEW Platform) is NOT great for the Users/Patrons, certainly NOT as good as the previous version. It is too bad that we could have not just continued with the previous version (ie. OLD Platform) - that it could not have been retained; and, just had the 'Management' needs/requirements appended.
As a 'Standalone' MODULE, the previous (New) "IDEAS" ('Feedback') Forum; as, an appendage to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, was certainly NOT as good as the (Old) "GetSatisfaction" 'Feedback' Forum; but, it was, to some degree, "User-Friendly".
Whereas, this current (2nd. New) "IDEAS" ('Feedback') Forum, being this current version (ie. on the NEW Platform); as, an integrated PART OF the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, again, may be great for 'Management' regarding, "Administration"; and, "Statistics"; but, this current version (ie. on the Platform) is NOT great for the Users/Patrons, certainly NOT as good as the previous 'Standalone' MODULE version [nor, even more so, the (Old) "GetSatisfaction" 'Feedback' Forum].
Whereby, the current (All-In-One) version (ie. NEW Platform) of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum is TRYING to INTEGRATE the aforementioned Three (x3) 'Separate' and 'Distinct' section/parts; and, unfortunately, is NOT doing a good job, from the perspective of the Users/Patrons.
The previous version (ie. OLD Platform) for the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum DID successfully INTEGRATE, both, the, (1) "Questions and Answers"; and, (2) "Groups", which worked reasonably well.
There needs to be a lot more work to on the current (All-In-One) version (ie. NEW Platform) of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, to successfully INTEGRATE, the Three (x3) sections/parts
▬ Questions and Answer
▬ Groups
▬ Ideas
to work as 'seamlessly'; as, at least, two (x2) of those sections/parts did, in the previous version (ie. OLD Platform) for the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
Just my thoughts.
