Subject: Minor FAULT / FLAW. General User Interface. Function: User Messaging. CANNOT get to SEND Message. When BANNERS Appear
.
FYI
.
Please be advised that, there is a minor general user interface FAULT / FLAW, with regards to the 'Function' of "User Messaging" of 'FamilySearch', in that one CANNOT get to the section to "Send" a 'Message" Box ( ie. Reply / Respond to a 'Message' ), when, BOTH, the "Banners" of, (1) Weekly Updates / Release [ ie. Sunday Night / Monday Morning - 'Mountain Time' ]; and, (2) We’ve updated FamilySearch Messages. ... [ SEE WHAT'S DIFFERENT ] [ DISMISS ] appear.
.
This problem / issue could most likely be overcome, if a User/Patron "Dismisses" ( or, has "Dismissed" ), BOTH, of those aforementioned "Banners"; but, such should NOT be required.
.
I for one leave the "Banner" for Weekly Updates / Release [ ie. Sunday Night / Monday Morning - 'Mountain Time' ] 'in situ'; and, DO NOT, "Dismiss" that particular "Banners"; so that, when the "Banner" eventually automatically disappears, I know that the current Update / Release is over / finished.
.
Plus, I do not 'see' the need to "Dismiss" the "Banners" for "Updates" to various 'Functions'; and, as such, leave such ( Functions ) "Banners" 'in situ'.
.
Here are just two (x2) Examples, of 'Messages', where I could NOT access the "Send" a 'Message" Box, to Reply / Respond to a 'Message'.
.
.
.
Excluding "Dismissing" the aforementioned "Banners" ( as I have suggested ), I tried ALL means possible ( including "Reducing" the "Zoom" of the "Browser" ) to access the "Send" a 'Message" Box, to Reply / Respond to a 'Message'; but, alas, could NOT do so.
.
This minor general user interface fault / flaw ONLY came to my notice; as, I was in communication with another User / Patron through "User Messaging" of 'FamilySearch', where I went to Reply / Respond to an, active, ongoing, 'Message'.
.
Please be advised that this minor fault / flaw "Occurs" in ( and, was "Tested" in ), the 'Latest' versions of "Browsers" of:
(1) 'Google' "Chrome"; and,
(2) 'Mozilla' "FireFox"; and,
(3) 'Microsoft' "Edge",
ALL, with the 'Microsoft' "Windows 10", operating system.
.
Humbly submitted for your, information; consideration; and, attention.
.
'Thank You' in advance.
.
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU IN THIS IMPORTANT WORK.
.
Kind Regards.
.
Yours Faithfully,
.
