Should the year be incremented as the month change?

I am indexing US, Virginia—Birth Records, 1853–1900[M3QZ-HCC]

The Date appears in the upper right corner is 1882

My question is that as I index the records listed the months seem to indicate that years may have changed

For example going from Nov then showing June, and then April, then June and then Oct.

Should the year be changed to 1883 and 1884 etc.

No, the indexer was correct to index the year as 1882 for all of these records. We only index what is written on the image. This is an alphabetical register of births for the year 1882. The father's residence is also blank in every case since those are all street names.
