Add an "Archive" folder to Messages

I'd love to have an Archive folder in the Messages system, where I could move conversations that are done but that I might want to refer back to or contact the other researcher again. That way, the current Messages folder would be only people I need to answer or are actively going back and forth with information.

I am surprised there are not more suggestions regarding the enhancement of the Messages section. Trying to find a previous message from someone can be a very time-consuming process. An archiving feature might help, but a proper search function (say based on username) would also be of great assistance.

Seems like this might be a good place to inquire about a similar request. Could the system be enhanced to allow "tags" on the messages...? perhaps that would be way to sort those that still need reading or follow-up work from those that are 'done'. Tags or folders would be helpful.

    Thanks
