Looking for Wilkes County, Georgia "Deed Book" 1784-1785, p 88-90
I am researching my DAR Patriot William Wilkinson. In a family history, Genealogy of Wilkinson and Kindred Families, published in 1949 and written by M. M. Wilkinson, the author specifically references the above Deed Book in his outline of the children of John and Rebecca (Scott) Wilkinson (p 80). The reference says, "Wilkes County, Ga., "Deed-Book" 1784-1785 p. 88-90, William Wilkinson, to son John Wilkinson the undivided interest due me from the estate of my parents, John and Rebecca Wilkinson, of Smithfield, Rhode Island, and to my 3 grandsons, and to my three granddaughters, the children of my son John and Ann (Douglas) Wilkinson, for love and affection, two slaves each. Names given etc. Dec. 20, 1784."
I have searched in the FS Catalog every possible record in Wilkes County, Georgia, and Georgia at large, with no success. DAR records (and Mr. M. M. Wilkinson) indicate he died in Virginia in 1796, which makes this Deed very important in establishing the correct place/date of his death.
I would appreciate any suggestions for further research. I would be delighted if a copy of this Deed was emailed to me.
Thanks for your help!

@Mary Wright_16 Since the catalog does not show the title you mentioned in its land records for Wilkes County, Georgia, you might want to see what the FamilySearch Wiki article about Wilkes County has to say. In the section on Land and Property Records, it says the deeds are housed in the County Courthouse. It would probably be worth your time to contact the courthouse to learn how to see the deed book:
Wilkes County Courthouse 23 E. Court Street, Rm 205, Washington, GA 30673-1570, Phone: 706-678-2423
