Has anyone else experienced the failure of Memories Gallery to show your memories?
I have over 4,000 memories on the tree. Yesterday my memory gallery would not load at all, still won't - the gallery shows zero memories, yet I can see the memories on my phone app. I can open albums on the gallery page, but that is about it. Very frustrating.
I learned today of one other patron who is having the same problem. I realize this must be a problem for the engineers, and I hope it will soon be resolved.
Is there a maximum number of memories that one person can add to the tree?

This is a known issue and has been sent to programming for review. It seems to be happening for people who have large numbers of memories in their gallery. They are looking for additional cases for programming to review. If you can call FamilySearch at 1-866-406-1830 they can add your case to the list for programming.

@JulieVWilcox I went into my FamilySearch memories show up with no issues. I know there is a limit to how many you can add, but I don't remember the number, but I know it is very large. I wish I was of more help.

I have had that problem. What I did to correct it was go over to the left where it says Memories and then in my case it said 0. Then I clicked on that and they started to load. Strange but it worked for me.

FYI
Further to what has been proffered (ie. Know Problem/Issue for whose who have a large "Gallery") ...
Here are some "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch':
What are the data limits for people in Family Tree?
Where it states (among other things):
Quote
------------------
In Family Tree, the record for a person has the following data limits:
- Spouses: 200
- Parents: 100
- Children: 400
- Names, facts, and events in the Other Information section: 200
- Sources: 200
- Memories: 1,000
- Other persons identified as "not a match": 400
- Discussions: 50
- Individual notes: 50 (each note can have up to 10,752 characters)
- Relationship notes: 12 (each note can have up to 10,752 characters)
------------------
And ...
How many memories (photos, stories, documents, and audio files) can I upload?
Where it states (among other things):
Quote
------------------
Although FamilySearch does not have a limit to the number of items you can upload to Memories yet, if an account has more than 5,000 memories, the system can perform slowly.
Each person record has a limit of 1,000 memory tags (or links) in FamilySearch.
------------------
I hope this helps.

note that if you are storing items in an ALBUM
even though the system will let you store more than 1,000 items in an album
it will not DISPLAY any more than 1000 items.
so if you store more than 1000 - your count will show that accordingly - but you will NOT be able to see such items in the album.
you should create multiple albums if you need to - so that you never have more than 1000 in an album.
If you are NOT storing items in albums - but rather just using the general gallery - than there is no such limitation.
