Cannot Attach Sources Made from Memories to Person Records
When I create a new source from a document that I have in memories, the system refuses to let me attach it to the source list on a person record.
Since I cannot attach it to any record, the source appears to be totally useless. When did this start happening?

Are trying to attach the memory source to a living person?
Memory sources can only be added to living persons using the Family Tree app. Once added in the app, the source will appear in the web version of Family Tree.
I just successfully added a memory source from my source box to a deceased person.

As it turns out it WAS for a living record. So you can add a memory based source to a living record via the mobile app but NOT the website?

Yes, it seems odd, because if you add the memory source in the app it will show in the web source list.

It was mentioned way back on getsatisfaction that the web programmers and the app programmers are two different teams with different tasks and priorities which is why some features appear first on the web version of Family Tree and other features appear first on the mobile version. I suspect for this type of action, it won't be all that long until the web version catches up. It wasn't all that long ago that you couldn't attach sources to living people at all, wasn't it? Or am I remembering incorrectly?

Actually Gorden, your memory is likely better than mine 😁 but I remember that for a while you could, then for a while you couldn't, then it got changed back again. But the unique case of not being able to attach a source that is based on a memory specifically to a living person record I don't remember. It seems far more likely to be a bug than a yet-to-be-added feature.
