Looking to collaborate with a living relative--is there a way?

Good morning!

My cousin and I would like to collaborate on our family tree, but the privacy protections have prevented us from finding each other. Is there a way to collaborate with living relatives?

Thank you!

Andrew

The above links may help you understand more fully and especially the third link for messaging tool. If you and your cousin have contributed information on one of your relatives, then you can click on their contact name, which is always public, and send the message to them. After the first communication you can find them in your messages. You may also want to go to your Settings by clicking on your name in the right upper corner and then click on Notifications to get your messages from each other through email or texting. After the first communication you can find them in your messages.

I hope that this has helped. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Collaboration is encouraged when working with deceased individuals. Cannot connect with living relatives only deceased.
