I'd like to find the birth certificate of my g-grandfather, Norval Simpson Hood, born October 1870 in Martins Ferry, Ohio. I've got the marriage record (1888, to Effie Howell) and death certificate (1924, in Columbus), but am running into a roadblock with the birth certificate. The pin number is L6XH-4TD. Can anyone help with this? Thanks very much.

    Hi Susan,

On the 1910 Ohio United States Census - Chillicothe Ward 1

It states your Hood family, the father and his father were born in Ohio.

Also Norval Hood owned a Grocery Store in Ohio.

    Have you got that information?

I searched on FamilySearch for you, there are original documents marriage and census,

sadly no birth record for Norval Simpson Hood ...... Sorry :(

There is a family tree on FamilySearch is it yours Susan
