Delete post
I haven’t tried every option, but I can’t find a way to delete my own question or discussion. I would think it would be the same button as the edit button. You’d click it and it would say edit and below it it would say delete. Just an idea.

The Not Planned indication conflicts with what the text of the response message says. Should this not be marked Under Consideration or Under Investigation to make it more in line with the text of the response message.

This shouldn't be too difficult. although there has always been inconsistency across FamilySearch when it comes to what we can and can't delete. As examples:
(1) On the GetSat forum (not a FamilySearch product, of course) a post could be edited or deleted if nobody else had posted comments beneath it.
(2) In Family Tree, Discussions can be deleted - but only by the person who posted them.
(3) Also on FT, an individual can be deleted, providing no other user has contributed to that ID.
(4) It was possible to delete posts on the Community forum that has recently been replaced by this one. However, I never experimented to see if it was possible to delete another person's posts - did anyone ever try / get to do this?
BTW - in relation to the statement, "We are working with the vendor to see if we can get the ability to delete posts": may I ask who the "vendor" is?

From other posts, the vendor appears to be the platform vanillacommunities.com

Thanks, Maureen. I wondered why the references to the "vanilla" platform. I appear to have missed the posts that specifically relate to vanillacommunities.com, however.
