Ruler
Could you please make the ruler so that it can be tilted slightly so that when I am following information across two monitors, and the information was written downward or upward, I can stay on the same line of information. Sometimes I can have the ruler positioned properly on the left side, and it would be two or three lines out on the right side. This could lead to mistakes and I have had to go back and make corrections. On some images there are 128 lines of information, so the writing is small and I enlarge it and spread it out over 2 monitors. Also, it would be nice to make the ruler adjustable as to its width. When the image is enlarged to this extent, it becomes very wide.
While I have your attention, if I in fact do, could you enhance the short cut key combination for copying the field text to all remaining like fields Currently the
shift+Alt+D does this, but it doesn't move the cursor to the next field. I have to move my right hand over and hit the return key, then settle in on the key combination keys again, and again- I have to do this 12 times for most marriage records that I am doing from Essex. And they only include at most 6 marriage records in a batch, so I am doing all this movement to hit the return key a lot. It would be so much nicer if the cursor would just move to the next field after the short cut keys were pressed.

Please! This would be so helpful for those very hard to read documents. They're hardly ever written perfectly straight let alone copied perfectly straight.

Rather than rotate the ruler I and others have suggested in the past that the ability to rotate the image would be very useful for this same reason.

I’ve heard that the new image viewer will help make this “image-leveling" capability that @J C Bingham refers to easier to implement. I hope so.

@larryfrancisroberts1 - While waiting for your request to be implemented on making the ruler thinner, If you want to try a ruler that can be made thinner and you are using a Windows PC, consider “A Ruler For Windows” Below I’ve also shown a comparison of the Web Indexing ruler/reading guide with the Ruler for Windows. Note that the Ruler for Windows stays put until you drag and move it, while the built-in ruler moves with the image (and keeps your place on the image). It’s as thin as I could make it. I’ve included the documentation fir it.

@larryfrancisroberts1 Have you tried using the Tab key (instead of Enter/Return) to get you to the next Field after doing the Alt+Shift+D? Tab doesn't have exactly the same meaning as Enter/Return:
ENTER "Accepts the auto-suggest and move the cursor to the next field"
TAB: "Accept what you typed, ignore the auto-suggest, and move the cursor to the next field"
But, in the context of what you are trying to do, the Tab key (on the same side of the keyboard as Alt+Shift+D) it might work well enough for you. There is no auto-suggest to deal with, or you've turned it off. Let me know if this works for you, in this context. It might matter what kind of Data Entry mode you are using (e.g. Table Entry Mode or Form Entry Mode), but please let me know what happens.
