Putting in information about family
I used to like to go to family search for information. After I started my tree with you however, it is no longer fun. I don't have a choice in some instances but to put in information, even if I'm not ready to. There are too many steps in order to get the relatives name in. I get frustrated a usually just log back out. It is not easy to put information in because of all the steps and the blocks and it will even question your info. I just would rather not do it at all in most cases. Just thought I would say something. just annoying when already frustrated trying to get correct info.

In a way, the fact that FamilySearch is making it "difficult" for you is really quite a good thing. Anything that slows us down and makes us question our entries is something positive. Too many users (including me!) are sure they have their facts right and excitedly add a new individual or whole branch to Family Tree. However, later you might find, as an example, an infant burial for the person you were sure had produced a large family and died at about 80! You can never be too sure that there isn't another individual of very similar identity (possibly a first cousin) to the one who you have inputted to Family Tree.
As I am not a LDS Church member, genealogy is just a hobby for me - but I still would not regard it as all "fun". At times it is extremely hard work and you need to apply considerable patience and effort to ensure you do not fall into the all-too-easy trap of mistaking an ancestor's / relative's identity with that of another individual who, ostensibly, would seem to be an "exact match".
If you are carrying out your research in a diligent manner, your task will probably seem just as difficult by whatever means (i.e. using Family Tree or not) you choose to record your genealogy. So, please don't despair!

When you add a person to the FamilySearch FamilyTree, you have to input a name, gender and whether still alive. Those are the only compulsory pieces of information. It prompts you to enter a birth and death date, and to enter the name of their spouse, parents and children but this is not required. You should give enough information so that they can check whether the same person has already been entered into the tree.
Don't worry if you can't enter all the information immediately- you can enter it later and merge duplicates if necessary.
