use of zoom to work with patrons one on one
Our state is nearly 75% the size of the state of Connecticut and travel distance is an issue. With the pandemic we have learned about using Zoom. I have realized that zoom can be used to help people one on one remotely. The helper can, within the zoom session, see the patron's FS screen while the patron is working in FS on the patron's computer. The helper can go further and ,with permission, assume remote control of the patron's cursor.
Helping patrons via zoom works during the pandemic. It is more convenient, overcomes the travel distance issue, and addresses any concern the patron may have about having people actually doing in home visits. It also eliminates any concerns about a brother Temple and Family History Consultant going into a single sister's home.

I agree ...
.
MANY, Members of the Church, ALL around the World, are ALREADY using "On-Line" Meetings to do EXACTLY what you suggest ...
[ And, NOT just using "Zoom", there are OTHER Platforms ... ]
.
But ...
That said ...
.
There are some things that one must ALWAYS consider ...
.
And, this is in relation to Members of the Church ...
.
NOT "Everyone" (in the World) ...
(1) has access to the INTERNET ...
(2) has access to "Good" INTERNET (ie. Speed) ...
(3) has, the knowledge; and/or, the skills, to work with computers, let alone with/on "Zoom" ...
(4) has the 'Time', with their DIFFICULT/BUSY lives, to do their "Temple and Family History" Work ... although, they would LOVE to ...
.
Those of us who are BLESSED to HAVE "ALL" of the aforementioned; and, are NOT constrained by such, must consider ourselves to be among the 'luck ones' ...
.
Just a thought.
