Hi Constance,
I found your mother, but can't see your record because you are living. Can you see the Fan Chart using the new ID? Are you listed twice under your parents? If so, you can delete one of them as you cannot merge living people.

FYI
We can 'see' your Mother; as, she is "Deceased".
But, we cannot 'see', either, of those 'PIDs' of/for you; as, you are "Living".
DO you 'see' BOTH of those 'PIDs' of you as a Child/Children for your Mother?
Or, do you ONLY 'see' one?
When, you say you tried "Merging", what were/did you Merging/Merge?
Have you looked at the "ChangeLog" for either?

Let us know what you 'see'?

I think that Brett is correct. You must have created two copies of your own (living) person record in the private space of your account. When you merged them, the sequence that you used merged your GH1N- 6TQ PID into your other GQ42-KVF PID, removing the former and leaving the latter PID. If you look into change History for the surviving PID you should be able to see what you did.
However, I think that the issue with your "Fan Tree" is a different thing. You may have just turned it off by accident. for any of the pedigree related charts, there is a selection box in the top left corner that allows you to choose what type of chart that you want your pedigree shown as. Just click on the pull down and reselect the Fan Chart version.
