you are probably better off using a third party application like Roots Magic or Ancestral Quest - which are much more robust in their analysis and reporting capabilities - and can also download from FamilySearch.

@Brian Marti
.
Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum ...
.
I am just another User/Patron like yourself ...
.
By "Private People" in our "My Contributions"; then, that is referring to the "Living" individuals/persons, in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', that reside in OUR own (individual/personal) "Private Spaces", in our own 'FamilySearch' Account ...
.
Short Answer: 'NO', unfortunately not at this point in time.
.
Currently, that "List" of "Private People" in our "My Contributions" (and, elsewhere) being the "Living" individuals/persons, in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', that reside in OUR own (individual/personal) "Private Spaces", in our own 'FamilySearch' Account, is "Static" (ie. "as is"), and, EXTREMELY limited to do anything with.
.
Hopefully, 'FamilySearch' is working on enabling/implementing some "Options", to, "Sort"; or, "Filter", that list of "Private People" in our "My Contributions" being the "Living" individuals/persons, in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', that reside in OUR own (individual/personal) "Private Spaces", in our own 'FamilySearch' Account.
.
I know that this does not help; but, I hope this gives you some perspective.

Dennis
I have not tried doing so ...
Question:
But, can one even "Download" the "Living" individuals/persons , in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', that reside in OUR own (individual/personal) "Private Spaces", in our own 'FamilySearch' Account ...
FROM: "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch',
TO: any of the "Third Part" Applications "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'?

Roots Magic does it (just tested it)
it would seem the program is accessing the records in the same way it does when you are really on line.
the fact that some records are in your private space and others not - - doesnt matter - because its the same user id and security access that is being used and has access to both record sets.

Thank you for your suggestions. Ended up copying and pasting to an Excel spreadsheet.

I'd just like to add to the conversation - I would like to see filter & tagging options under 'My Contributions' - 'Private People'. Is this the right place to make suggestions? I am unsure if my comments are seen by the familysearch people or if these threads are just seen by users.
If it is seen by familysearch as a way to gather feedback - it isn't clear that this forum is for that. But this is where 'feedback' takes me. :)

To a degree, Family Tree is designed to meet the individual needs of its users. However, finding I have just three Private People in Family Tree makes me wonder as to how other users come to add such large numbers .... over a thousand?
When I first became a contributor, a FamilySearch manager advised the program was meant to be (primarily) a place for entering details of the deceased. I wonder how and why others don't comply with this advice and add information here that nobody can see, instead of just keeping such records in their personal databases.
Apart from faith-based work, surely the major characteristic of Family Tree is its open-edit, collaborative format. It is disappointing enough to find there are so many read-only records (of the deceased) included, let alone know there are so many entries that can only be seen by one person!

@Nancy Busby, my current understanding is that bug reports go here while suggestions go in "Suggest an Idea", and no, I don't know how users are supposed to tell errors from design flaws. Also, while we're told that FamilySearch staff members do actually read these forums, we see very little evidence of this, almost none of it in the Suggest an Idea section.
That said, I share Paul W's perplexity: how on Earth do people end up with over a thousand private profiles? I mean, for one thing, my entire tree on other sites has fewer people than that, and for another thing, do people really trust the internet to this degree, that they're putting personal details about hundreds of living people online? Also, why are people using a tool that cannot generate a file for export/backup and is missing all sorts of other features useful for isolated genealogy work, when there are numerous offline genealogy programs available -- most with very capable free versions -- that can do everything needed, which do not potentially expose your living family to identity thieves or worse?
