FamilySearch does not use DNA at this time. As for transferring family trees, remember Familysearch Tree is a universal tree. It is highly likely your family members are already in the tree.

    You dont.

FamilySearch does not provide that service.

there is a Community Group that does discuss the topic of DNA & Genetics

You may wish to join their group.

    @Harrel Thomas

    .

    For starters ...

    .

    Regarding, DNA; and, 'FamilySearch' ...

    .

Short Answer: We CANNOT 'Upload' DNA Data into 'FamilySearch'.

    .

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySrach':

    .

Using DNA in family history research

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/using-dna-in-family-history-research

    .

Where, among other points, it states:

    Quote

    ------------------

Nor does our Family Tree provide specific features to post or link DNA groups based on DNA matches.

    ------------------

    .

I know this does not help; but, I hope it gives you some perspective and other options

    .

    Now ...

    That said ...

    .

Here are some helpful articles and lessons regarding DNA found in 'FamilySearch' ...

I am "Tagging" this general 'Question' of yours in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, to two (x2) specific 'Groups' in the Forum being:

    (1)  "Genetic Genealogy Research"; and,

    (2)  "Genealogy and the Y Chromosome",

in the hope that, the members of those groups may be able to answer/assist you.

    .

Both those Groups are "Public", which you can join, if you wish.

    @Harrel Thomas

    .

    Now ...

    .

About YOUR 'Tree' in "Ancestry_com" (or, anywhere else for that matter) ...

    .

You most likely DO NOT need to 'Transfer' YOUR 'Tree' in "Ancestry_com" (or, the like) with/into "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

    Now ...

    That said ...

    .

    Please let me explain.

    .

Most new (and, some old) Users/Patrons DO NOT understand the basic nature and premise of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', when they join in.

    .

We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).

    .

We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.

    .

We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

And, in fact, we do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, our OWN "Deceased" Ancestors in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

    I hope this helps.

    @Harrel Thomas

    .

    Furthermore ...

    .

"Ancestry_com" is a "Family Tree Management" programme that is one of the "Third Party" Applications that is "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' that has an INTERFACE that works/connects (directly) with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' that can, "Download"; and, "Upload" (ie. "Transfer) between the "Third Party" Application and "Family Tree".

    .

You may be able to link/connect your "Ancestry_com" Account, with that, of your 'FamilySearch' Account, to effect the aforementioned.

    .

    Alternatively ...

    .

You can INITIALLY enter (ie. 'Create') the FIRST few individuals/persons into "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' one at a time - on a one by one basis.

    .

It is most likely that many of the individuals/persons in your 'Tree' in "Ancestry_com" ALREADY exist in "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".

    .

It is most likely that ONLY one or two generations of the "Living" (and, just some of the "Deceased") individuals/persons may be required to be entered/input in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; before, some of the "Deceased" individuals/persons from your "Ancestral" lines ALREADY existing in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', are located/discovered.

    .

Use the "Find" facility/function/feature to Search "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', you may be surprised to find some (if not, many) of your "Ancestral" lines ALREADY existing in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

    .

I hope this gives you some perspective.

    .

    Brett
