How do I find another person's family tree?

It is all one tree with different branches. You cannot see or find another living person due to privacy. The best way to find a connection it to ask the person to give you the ID# of a deceased parent or grandparent close to them. Then you can use the Find by ID option to get to that branch close to the person you want to connect to. Hope that helps.

You won't be able to find the other person in Tree if they are alive. The only living people you can find are the ones you added to Tree yourself.
If you are in contact with the other person you ask them for the PID's of their closest deceased relatives. If that isn't possible then:
If you can see them in "View My Relationship" you can go the the closest ancestor to them in the chain of relatives and view that person's ancestors. The same thing works with the "Find Relatives at RootsTech" feature in the Tree App.
Hope this helps.

I so love the "Find Relatives at Roots Tech" feature, and have used it successfully several times. I was not aware that a similar feature is available on the website, but have just found it, thanks to you!!

IF, you liked "RootsTech" 2021 an the ability to "Connect" with "Living" Relatives; THEN, you may enjoy this ...
.
As an aside ...
.
IF, you have NOT already; THEN, you could try ...
.
Can I humbly suggest that a place where you should be able to 'See' your "Relationship" with, "Famous People"; and, many, "Others"; PLUS, you can ALSO "Print" the connections/links between you and them is through (BYU) "RelativeFinder" ...
.
(BYU) "RelativeFinder" digs (pun intended) a lot DEEPER in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', than 'FamilySearch' does.
.
(BYU) "RelativeFinder" is one of the "Third Party" Applications that "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
BYU = Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah, USA (ie. the Church University).
.
From the "Family History Technology Laboratory", of the "Computer Science" Department.
.
Here is direct link to "RelativeFibder"

.
.
"RelativeFinder" has MANY 'Bells and Whistles', that you might find useful.
.
Apart from "Famous People" and "Others" ...
.
(BYU) "RelativeFinder" has some interesting options ...
.
There is an option to see if there is a 'Connection' between yourself and a "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
.
There is an option to see if there is a 'Connection' between two (x2) "Deceased" individuals/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'
.
.
There is an option to see if there is a 'Connection' between ("Living" - Users/Patrons) Friends in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
.
Magic.
.
Enjoy.
.
I hope this helps.

FYI
.
Most new (and, some old) Users/Patrons DO NOT understand the basic nature and premise of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', when they join in.
.
Please let me explain ...
.
We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).
.
We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.
.
We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
And, in fact, we do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, our OWN "Deceased" Ancestors in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
We can certainly "Watch"/"Follow" them in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, address/fix any 'wayward' alterations; but, that is it.
.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
.
I hope this helps.

You cannot see living people so you cannot use the Find function to find your living cousin and her tree. However, you can find her deceased relatives and any deceased connections they might have. And you can find totally unrelated deceased individuals such as Tom Cruise's mother LF9W-CT9
