I have created a family tree and am happy with the result. I now wish to create a second family tree

There is only ONE tree in the FamilySearch FamilyTree. The tree root that where you see your own record in your account branches into the single, 1.3 billion name tree in the database.
However, if you wanted to, say, add a record of your wife in your private space and then build out from that record into the FamilyTree, you can do that. But remember any of your ancestors in your or her tree will be shared with everyone else. Even though your 3rd Great Grandfather may have hundreds (or even thousands) of patrons here descended from him, he has only one single record in the FSFT. Anyone can change that record.
Also, if you find any duplicates in the tree you should merge them to. The system is set up to optimize a single record for any given ancestor in the entire database. So if you are trying to "build a tree" that is not connected to existing records in the FSFT, you will find that you are fighting the system. You may not be getting hints since they could be going to the "other" versions of that same person.
So as you build "your" tree (which is only a segment of the complete FS FamilyTree), you need to be checking for existing records to add to it BEFORE creating new records. Otherwise someone else will likely see them and merge them into the main tree leaving you wondering where they went 😊

You can have as MANY "Ancestral" Lines, those being "Branches", as you like.
[ So, go ahead and EXTEND your "Ancestral" lines, with more "Branches" ... ]

Or, you can even "Create" some/any "Unconnected" ones if you wish.

Most new (and, some old) Users/Patrons DO NOT understand the basic nature and premise of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', when they join in.

We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).

We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.

We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

And, in fact, we do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, our OWN "Deceased" Ancestors in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

Brett, I regret you find it necessary to lecture me on the workings of this site. Excuse my use of " Family Tree " and excuse my lack of knowledge of this terminology. I was looking for assistance to list , record or build a seperate branch of my ancestry. I had cause to seek help previously from one of the members of the Church of the latter day saints on this site and was delighted with the helpful and generous assistance I received. Brett , please try to be patient and understand some people might not have the level of expertise you possess and need a more compassionate and helpful approach.
