Rosa Salvati and Giuseppe Cassano
Hello. I am looking for some suggestions to try to find the names and birthdates of the children born to Rosa Salvati and Giuseppe Cassano in Bari during the years 1910-1915. I believe they had a son Filippo Cassano born during this time and then also possibly daughters Rosa and Angela. It has been very tough for me to find any possible birth information during those years. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

tell us more about what kind of sources you have used so far in finding information about the family.

I have used the tribunale on family search, the antenati website, ancestry, and have reached out to city of Bari. Those years are tough. Not yet digitized and not as easily accessible, is my understanding.

Bari records through 1929 are available in FamilySearch in the Tribunale catalog but because of Italian privacy law (and the GDPR) you're not going to find any birth records online more recent than 1910. You would have to request a copy of the birth record from the Comune of Bari:
https://www.comune.bari.it/web/servizi-demografici/certificazioni-stato-civile
You would select "estratto di nascita" for a short extract of a birth record or "certificato di nascita" for a longer form with more information (might cost more though).

Hello Cousin Vinny,
I do not know the dates of their birth. You would have to know the dates of their birth to contact the Comune of Bari. I have already tried to contact the Comune of Bari and they stated that I needed to know the dates of their births. I want to be able to search through records to find their names and birth information. Rosa and Giuseppe are my great-grandparents. I believe they had several children, including Filippo, during the years 1910-1915. Or, I should say 1911-1915. I searched through 1910. Now I know it might not be possible to get the information requested at this time, but I am still putting it out there to see if anyone has any ideas I may not have tried. Thanks!

If the comune is insisting you have to know the date, then really your best bet is to hire an onsite researcher to go to the comune office on your behalf, or possibly to the Bari State Archives, to research in person.
