I've read very little about when the main library in Salt Lake is opening. All I see is due to laws
it says wild cat has it. What is wild cat and if it also refers you to the library, who can anyone use either of them? Since the records are already digitized , why can't the library temporarily let all of us see it rather than send us to a library that is not open, nor likely will be? What is Wild Cat and why are so much of what I need in the Card catalog set up under Wild Cat. Evidently you need an official library to search whatever it is in wild cat, and again, the libraries are closed. The libraries around me and other areas are OPEN. They have to use very particular rules, but they are open. Why can't the churches main library either under a reservation for that day, or using not only face masks, but rubber gloves for when they handle the keyboards and films etc?

Im guessing what you refer to as WILD CAT
is actually WORLD CAT
a bibliographic database of libraries around the world.
see:
Worldcat may indicate a libray that is in your area that may have a copy of the item.
Yes - with so many libraries around the world closed - we have to be patient.
I am not a FS employee and can not answer on an official basis
I believe when they have the resources and when they feel conditions are right, and laws allow it - they will open.
But also keep in mind a very large portion of what were FS workers are/were unpaid volunteers - many of which may not be able to work under current conditions.
