You can only obtain birth certificates and marriage license/certificates from the Ventura County Recorder for a fee. This is a link that will take you to information about the process, and the forms you will need to complete. Normally this would only take a couple of weeks, but with the Covid situation it could take longer. You can also order online, but the fee might be higher. Because it is a big hazel to go to the California Government Website and try to purchase the document. I already tried and paid money for my marriage license and they told me it is nit available. SO THEY KEPT MY MONEY. AND I NEVER RECEIVED MY MARRIAGE LICENSE
