I am looking for family ancestors beyond a George Otie, born in 1900-1903. He was the first husband
He was married to Zora Phipps, and they are in the 1930 census for West Virginia records, married in 1929 as I recall. They had a first daughter, Ruby, deceased at 15 months. My mother was born in 1934, by 1938 Zora and my mother were in Montana, where she married Cecil Thompson (my grandfather at heart). I am curious as to my real ancestry, but Mr. Otie simply disappears. I found a George Otie, but his other children and marriage do not "add up" to the timeline for the Mr. Otie who was married to my grandmother. I don't know where to go from here. I have been able to track my grandmother's "Phipps" side quite far back now, but I am stalled on my research for the "Otie" ancestry whereby George is concerned. I have found other "Otie's", but cannot seem to lock in on the ones who might be parents to the one married to my grandmother in 1929-1937 or so. By 1938, she was married to Cecil Thompson in Montana.

Hello Sherry,
Good question.
Are you searching for your relatives in Montana, or ?
Do you have a FamilySearch.org Family Tree? It would help if you do have a FS FT to have one of your ancestors Identification Number. That number is on the person page near the head icon.
This will be a help to the person who answers your question.
I only see Montana as a place to search. So I will tag your question for @Western United States Research
Good folks there. I hope this helps.
