    Question(s):

    WHERE are you 'seeing" this?

    What are you doing?

    Are you "Merging"/"Combining"?

    Or, something else?

    Always feel free to put in as many links as you need to illustrate what you are talking about. Otherwise it can be really hard to figure out what someone is referring to.

    What you are seeing in the flag of England.

    Photography doesn't go back very far. According to Wikipedia, the earliest surviving photograph dates to 1826 to 1827. That makes the portrait on Portrait Pedigree chart and a person's Detail page of not much use before that. Some Family Tree users get creative and put in artwork, landscapes, heraldry, or, as in this case, flags to represent something about the individual. It's a bit of harmless fun.
