By mistake I added a person who does not exist to the record and I am unable to delete the record. How do I fix this?

Did you add this person with parents? If so, next to the name of the person you accidentally added, there is a little square box with a pencil icon in it, at the bottom right of their name (do not click on their name), click on the box with the pencil icon in it and it will allow you to delete the individual.
