Remembering Relatives Who Have Died

I am curious. When I receive the emails that show my relatives who died in past month, are these relationships authentic? I have not researched nearly as far back as some of these headstones go. The relationship shows direct lineage sometimes as far back as 1655. Are these dependable relationships?

All of these relationships are generated by the research and connections individuals have built in FamilySearch Family Tree. So the relationship is only is as valid as the weakest research links.

But it sure is fun looking at people from that far back in history!
