I can give it a shot. RootsTech has plenty of free sessions and you can ask other people for help one thing that might be helpful is the free sessions on dna testing but I'm not sure the tests themselves are free.

Thank you. I have viewed a number of sessions in RootsTech which have been very helpful. I received an email, either from RootsTech or FamilySearch, I don't remember which, inviting me to a free, one-on-one 20-minute "strategy session" by an expert genealogist. I signed up, had the session, and learned so much! Unfortunately, we didn't find the silver bullet, but I am much better equipped to break through the wall. I also learned that these sessions aren't just available during RootsTech but are offered all the time. Just go to https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Virtual_Research_Strategy_Sessions to book one.

Paul Willnauer & NidaLewis - Thank you for the valuable information. I had no idea that this was a possibility. Now, I just have to choose the most important sticking point to ask about so I get the biggest bang for my non-buck! .^_^.
