Is there a way to automatically have the birth month and year copied from one record to the next?

Caribbean—Civil Registration, 1859–1978[MSDT-361] I don't want to have to type information that is the same, which in this case is the year and the month on this image. Is there a way to automatically have that put in?

Have you tried using the column entry option when indexing? Go into the "Data Entry" section and choose column entry. This is useful if you have rosters or registers where dates, locations (cities, counties and states) that are repeated through the roster. Use the repeat button to fill information down for a roster or register. I prefer the column entry when I am reviewing registers and rosters as well. Hope you find this helpful.
