WHAT IS THIS? - MEMORIES
The memories category is here so people can ask questions and dig deeper into the subject. Members may attend trainings, view recordings, share resources, and participate in the discussions.
As @ctr sweetie points out below, "Memories can include photos, stories, documents, and audio recordings."

I would laugh if I didn't want to cry.
It is suggested we search to see if the question we have has already been answered. I see many threads in the Memories category that seem to apply. Only - every single one has been moved somewhere else, and I am not permitted to know or find where that thread might be.
Nearly every time I upload a memory I get a message that it has been restricted and will be deleted because it violates terms. Every time - before, when we could contact help - I asked why and got a reply that the memory had been restricted in error and the restriction was removed.
Now, we can no longer contact help. Today, I uploaded 4 memories of the same type - birth records from familysearch. On 2 of the 4, I received a message that the record was a violation and was restricted and will be deleted.
What now? Can't find an answer because they have all been moved. Can't open a case, because help has closed up shop.

It has been my understanding that if you attached a photo to someone in your tree but make it PRIVATE, then no one can see it. This was done because the photo contained living people.
However, it seems that those PRIVATE photos can now be seen on My Heritage. I know that there is a contractual arrangement with them, but what is the point of making photos PRIVATE if they are allowing My Heritage to have them.
Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue without removing all photos?
This was a question posed to me by a patron at our local FHC where I volunteer. We all felt badly as we had assured her that those photos which she attached and marked private would remain so until she removed the lock.
