I see these "anniversaries" when I log on to Family Search, but I wonder if I can receive them directly to the email address I have on file with FS.

    .

I am just another User/Patrons, like yourself ...

    .

    FYI

    .

That is one of the many "Campaigns", by 'FamilySearch', to engage Users/Patrons (especially, Members of the Church) .

    .

MANY, Users/Patrons (BOTH, Members of the Church; and, non-members), have "Complained", about the number of (unwanted) "E-mails", from these various "Campaigns", by 'FamilySearch'.

    .

    As such ...

    .

We receive many of those "Campaigns", by 'FamilySearch', via OUR "Notifications" in 'FamilySearch', under the "Discovery" (Notifications) 'Tab'.

    .

Unfortunately, those notifications are (seem to be) AUTOMATICALLY "Deleted"/'Removed", by the "System" - instead of ONLY by the User/Patron.

    .

    As an aside ...

    .

    As, an interim measure ...

    .

Here is the direct link, being a URL (ie. 'FamilySearch' page/screen), to that "Campaign", relating to a "Calendar" of our Ancestors "Anniversaries":

    .

    https://www.familysearch.org/campaign/calendar

    .

    If, you like ...

    ,

IF, you "Bookmark" that URL (ie. 'FamilySearch' page/screen); THEN, you can refer to it often, any time you wish.

    .

    I hope this Helps.

    Brett,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets annoyed by those emails! Like, I think it's nice that FS is trying to engage users and keep them coming back to the site, but I really don't ever observe my 3rd-great-grandmother's wedding anniversary and don't need to be reminded about it in my inbox every few weeks.

I do wish FS had an option for users to opt out of these types of emails, or at least choose what types of campaigns they want emails for. I do enjoy looking at the campaigns for, for example, family members who served in WWI, because I think that kind of thing is interesting. But other ones, like the (weirdly overly feminist) campaign about women in my family tree (as though I was not already aware that wow, my family tree has females in it, who knew), I could really care less about and just delete them on sight.

I can see why some people would enjoy the campaigns, or why they might be useful to try to lure people back to FS who start using it and then forget about it, but as a long-time, near-daily user of FS who counts family history as one of my biggest hobbies, I think I am the wrong target audience for these types of awareness campaigns.
