support Windows 10 clipboard history
I have been doing a lot of FamilySearch genealogy work lately. In doing this I rely heavily on the Windows 10 clipboard history facility. It’s easy to find via search. What it allows you to do is copy multiple things in sequence or randomly to a clipboard which holds up to 24 pasteable items. Being disabled in a way that makes it very difficult for me to type, I use this facility for many of the things that I do with my computer.
In at least some places where FamilySearch allows a user to copy by clicking an item, for instance a record identifier, the copy does not work the way it should in Windows 10. Either nothing is copied or what is copied is not pasteable from the clipboard history. The latter is a problem with Microsoft as in some places. My suggestion is that FamilySearch change the copy facilities to use the history clipboard to save the text. An opportunity to out class Microsoft. This
Clipboard history is an amazing tool. If you have to copy and paste multiple items, for instance from a source, you can do it with a sequence of copies and a sequence of pastes, instead of flip-flopping between copies and pastes. This is not only more efficient, but is an accessibility feature. People who have difficulty typing, as I do, use the mouse as much as they can. It is difficult for them to flip-flop with just the mouse.
Thanks for the opportunity to make this suggestion.

Ctrl-C and Win-V work fine for me in FamilySearch where I have used it. Can you provide a specific example?

Jordi,
Sorry I didn't respond to this before now. This discussion feature needs to have a notification sent to the author when comments are made or answered.

Jordi,
The place I find them most useful is giving good Reasons for making a change. It is nice to reuse good responses instead of writing cryptic short responses. This encourages taking time to provide concise (complete, understandable, and short without compromising the first 2) Reasons. Very frequently used items (e.g. "Cite a standardized place.") may be pinned to the clipboard to make them persistent (survive) over a System Start (initial start or restart.
