Productivity Enhancement: Hide Option for record hints or unfinished attachments
Often when looking at unfinished attachments or record hints, I don't feel ready/qualified or have enough information to complete them or attach them. I would be nice to have an option, in addition to Dismiss or Not a Match that could hide these or temporarily dismiss them from my view so I don't keep looking at them every time I go looking for something to do. This makes me less productive finding things I can work on. This option could be a timed delay, maybe you click this option and the record don't show in your Recommended Tasks or Unfinished Attachments for 3 months. Then in 3 months or so, they show up again and their might be more information to help you complete the task. Also, the blue boxes wouldn't show on the family tree if they have been temporarily dismissed. This would allow people to temporarily dismiss things and get them out of view so they can focus on areas they haven't looked at instead of going back to the same suggestions over and over and not making any progress. Also, if they disappeared from the recommended tasks, then other names would show that I might be able to make progress on.

You can already ignore recommended tasks on the list on the Familysearch landing page on a computer, just click the blue box next to the person name, then click the drop down arrow and either review or ignore. I do this when I want to ignore them because more research is needed. Yow can also swipe left in the app to remove tasks.
As far as on a person's detail page, those tasks need to remain visible as many people may visit a persons page and while you may not be comfortable completing the task there maybe another person who is and this is a collaboartive tree and should look the same for different users when viewing a person's detail page. Just ignore them in that location.

Re: "Unfinished Attachements"
.
You DO NOT have to "Dismiss", the "Unfinished Attachement" indicator, in the "Sources" 'Tab' of an individual/person, if you do not want/wish; or, do not feel comfortable/confident at the current time.
.
You; or, another User/Patron who wants and feels comfortable/confident, can address that at a later date.
.
IF, you feel that having the "Unfinished Attachement" indicator, in the "Sources" 'Tab' of an individual/person, remain, BOTHERS you; THEN, just "Dismiss" it; as, you; or, another User/Patron, can very easily, go back to that "Source"; and, "Review Attachments" - attaching any that were NOT previously attached.
.
Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch":
.
How do I handle unfinished attachments in Family Tree?

Re: Recommended Tasks; and, Record Hints
.
As 'Cindy' has already proffered ...
.
On one's Home/Landing page/screen in 'FamilySearch' ...
And, on the "Recommended Tasks" (on the 'right-hand-side' of the page/screen) ...
.
We can ALREADY "Ignore" the "Record Hints" ...
.
.
As far as I am aware, ignoring that "Record Hint", DOES NOT affect the "Hint" appearing for another User/Patron, it only affect the "Record Hint" appearing for you in your "Recommended Tasks".
.
Whereas ...
.
For individuals/persons, on their "Person/Details" page/screen ...
Under the "Research Help" (on the 'right-hand-side' of the page/screen) ...
In particular, the "Record Hints" ...
.
IF, you do not feel comfortable/confident, at the current time, with addressing the "Record Hint"; THEN, just leave it 'in situ' (ie. as is) - DO NOTHING - As another User/Patron, who wants and feels comfortable/confident, can address it; or, if/when you feel more comfortable/confident, you can come back to it and address it.
.
DO NOT feel, either, the need; or, the compulsion, to "Dismiss" those "Record Hints" on an individual's/person's "Person/Details" page/screen, under the "Research Help".
.
But ...
That said ...
.
IF, you so desire, you can certain select that "Ignore" for "Record Hints" under "Recommended Tasks" on your "Home"/"Landing" page/screen in 'FamilySearch'.
.
Just my thoughts.

From my understanding, if you dismiss record hints then they won't come back and they dismiss them for all users. What I am looking for is something in between. Where I can dismiss them for me, for a time until more information might be available or a user with more knowledge wants to work the task. This way I can work through the tree and mark things that I don't feel comfortable working on as hidden and clear up the tree or task list to find things that I can actually contribute to.
