adding fields

One should be able to add fields when needed. For example a wedding certificate with no fields for parents of groom nor of bride. Yet the parents name are on the record. Then more info would be available making it easier to find people. I tried adding fields for this problem, but parent fields were not available to add, only other fields were available to add to it.

I am not certain; but, I suspect that you are referring to, the fact that, there is NO way to 'Add' EXTRA important information (ie. Fields') found on Records while "Indexing"; especially; as, the "Indexer" is really restricted to the "Input" fields of the "Project" and the "Project Instructions".

Many would not disagree with you ...

    But ...

    That said ...

    .

One thing that you must remember, is that, 'FamilySearch' may be LIMITED (ie. RESTRICTED) as to what, CAN; and/or, CANNOT, be "Indexed", due to, the Contractual Agreements/Arrangements, with the Record Custodian.

    .

    Just a thought.
