New Printable Family Tree

I love the idea of the new printable family trees. Can I recommend a style that has the ancestors as the roots with the kids and their spouses as branches and grandkids as smaller branches/leaves? I could see this as a great gift for my parents!

IF, so; THEN, great suggestions; and, as a further suggestion, it would be good if it INCLUDED, the Spouse of ones Children; and, their Children, the Grandchildren - just a few MORE "Leaves"..

quite a few of my ancestors used one of their middle names as their everyday first name, & a few had nicknames.

i would not use the current format of this printable tree, whereby the first name that's listed on the birth certificate is automatically shown on the tree, 'coz i can't relate to that person's name.

i would like to be able to choose -

1) the first name my ancestors decided use, or

2) any nicknames they used

I love the idea of the printable family tree. I wanted to make them and give them to and for family and possibly friends.

1. The print seemed rather faint. A greater color contrast for higher visibility would be great.
2. It would be helpful to be able to choose with which person you start. I tried changing my "default" person on the settings to a different person to see if that worked (due to a suggestion by another Family Search user) but it did not change.

Great idea, though. It would have made a fun gift for people.
