New FamilyTree Search Interface
Would be nice for the cursor to 'jump' to the appropriate entry field after selecting the type of Event or Relationship to enter e.g. by clicking on 'Spouse' button the boxes to enter first/last names appear and I'd expect the cursor to be sitting in the 'Spouses First Name' entry box. From there you can Tab over to Last name

The computer guys would like you to send them a note identifying the operating system, version, etc, etc that you are using when you experience the "jumping cursor" problem.

@Dave Shurtz I notice that Mark's post is from December 2020 - 2-1/2 years ago and long before the current "new" format was released.

@Dave Shurtz This is a very old request for a new behavior, not a report of any type of problem, and checking in various places in FamilySearch it looks like it was incorporated and works very nicely. I wonder if Mark ever realized the his suggestion was used?
What he was asking for in every search or add data form that the website has, was that when at this point:
That clicking on the the additional options buttons would both open the data fields for that option and make the first name field active with a blinking cursor:
Which is exactly how every form like this I quickly found and tested currently behaves.
I guess way back in 2020 when you clicked one of these buttons you then had to click into the first name field before you could started typing. This was a nice little time saver he suggested and whether it was implemented because of his post or because other people came up with the same idea, it's nice to see it working so well.
