Problem with Image Viewer in Indexing

I've activated the New Image Viewer in Labs and the icon to adjust the brightness/contrast isn't working.

    The image can not be moved around within the window.

    The zoom in and out works OK.

    Is it a software problem or have I locked it unknowingly.
