Understanding changelog items?
I am trying to understand the changes listed in this changelog:
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/changelog/L12Y-JLS
On 29-Aug-2018; I added this person with christening 1802 and death 1828.
The log entries that add parents show 1805-1850 dates; which were values *LONG AFTER* he was connected to parents (probably during merges).
Question: Why to the entries for "Relationship Added" show 1805-1850; which are dates that come from a merge only a few weeks ago; not before parents were added?

Kathryn Grant has a great webinar about understanding the Change Log which is found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvDgxulfroc
She covers this exact point.
Basically, the section of the Change Log (I wish we could post images here) which consists of the person icon, the person's name, the person's birth and death year, and ID number is not really part of the Change Log. It is part of the identifying information as to who the current individual is to whom the change occured.
For example, in the Change Log you have the link for, the first place you see this is in the entry fifth from the bottom. The change is a relationship change for adding the mother F. Cox. She was added to the child who currently exists in Family Tree as Henricus 1805-1850.
I agree it is confusing but if you just keep in mind that section is just to make it clear what family tree record that information currently appears on and ignore it otherwise, that will help.

Gordon, there IS a way to currently put pictures into postings in the Ideas forum but it is a nuisance. You need to get the image copied onto your clipboard, and then you can paste it directly into your editing box for the comment that you are making *IF* the image is small enough. I've had to scale down several images in order to make them small enough to post. Also when you do the Paste, you may have to wait several seconds for it to show up. Otherwise it looks like nothing is happening.

(Jeff, thanks for the information. I would never have stumbled across how to do this. It is so much easier to explain things with pictures.)
This mini-header in the change log is simply for identification and it will change every time the main header for the person changes. That is, it will always have the information that is here:

Since a picture really *IS* worth a thousand words, I frequently find reading the thousand words just puts me to sleep. I'd rather have pictures. That's why on a technical forum, the ease by which you can permanently embed unique technical diagrams in a topic discussion is critical. They way is works in the FS community groups area is a real problem that ignores these needs.
And in the Ideas area, the size limitations and clumsiness associated with the copy/pasting and multiple attempts (due to images being too large) is ALSO a tremendous nuisance.
